Events coming together for EscarpAction’s evening of Wine, Cheese & Beer!

Be prepared for an eventful evening.

Saturday October 28, starting at 7pm, at the Lucien-Delorme Community Center, 5000 rue du Centre, Wendover, On, Canada

40$ per ticket

Food, drink and good company

Your evening will include music by local musicians and a live auction! With plenty of time for wine, cheese and some great local beer. Each guest will have their choice of a white or red glass of wine. A selection of wines will be for sale by the bottle or by the glass.

Food and drink will include

  • A selection of favourite wines with the seal of approval from Fortified Grape Consulting’s sommelier Julie Ricard, presently consulting with Domaine Perreault
  • A selection of cheeses chosen especially for this evening by Mariposa
  • Sheep’s milk cheese donated by Bergerie des Sables
  • Breads and crackers made fresh by Catstone farms
  • Beer supplied by Cassell brewery
  • Cakes and pies donated by La Binerie and le Chardo
  • Non-alcoholic options will also be available. Try a Kombucha from Buchipop!

The Wine pull

You can purchase a bottle of wine from the bar or for a few dollars less, take your chance at selecting a special bottle of wine from our wine pull! It can be an expensive wine, a special bottle or something a little different. Everyone who plays walks away with a bottle of wine…you can’t lose!

Cake wars! Live Auction

Top off your evening with a sweet treat. Local auctioneer Guy Bissonette will be helping us by auctioning off some local favourites. Local chefs will be preparing some fabulous deserts for auction. Chef Bruce Wood (Culinary Consulting), baker and pastry chef Louay Ben Messaoud (currently at Bergerie des Sables and Beau’s beer) and caterer Imogen from Catstone farms who is also an EscarpAction committee member, will each be baking one of their favourites for auction. Place 19-67 is donating one of Mme Chenier’s famous raspberry pies. The auction also includes an epicurean delight dinner invitation, Gift baskets from OGenêt, Tim Hortons and Maple syrup from Érablière Maree Sugarbush and a beautiful wood mirror from the DelJu sawmill.

Art Auction

An EscarpAction goal is to promote local businesses. This includes the many talented local artists and artisans of our region! Local artists have donated works of art that you can purchase through a silent auction.

Many beautiful pieces of art and artisana will be for sale: Local scenes painted on canvas by Linda Paquette and Tina Petrovicz, custom wood furniture from Francois Delorme and wood sculpture by Francois Gour.

There is also a rare opportunity to purchase a work of art by renowned local artist Pierrette Dulude-Bohay who passed away 2 years ago. Sketches of local scenes will be for sale in the silent auction or you can bid on prints of one of her famous chicken paintings. She loved her studio below the escarpment and painting the trees and old barns of our region was one of the greatest pleasures of her life. The Bohay family would like to commemorate the protection of the escarpment through the release of a these sketches.
